It is no secret that climate change is upon us and we need to act now in order to save our planet.
According to the United Nations, 2010 to 2019 was the warmest decade ever recorded. Weather patterns are changing, sea levels are rising, and weather events are becoming more extreme.
But what can we as business owners and consumers do about this horrifying situation?
In this episode, you’ll hear from Lindsey Boyle, founder of the Circular Citizen, who gives us hope that we can make changes to save our earth.
About Lindsey Boyle:
After a long career helping big companies innovate in often unsustainable ways, the clear and present danger of the climate emergency hit Lindsey Boyle head on in 2018. After learning from Noah Murphy-Reinhertz, Nike’s Sustainable Design Lead, that people want their shoes to have a second life, Lindsey woke up to the power of the circular economy - one that designs out waste, keeps materials in use and regenerates nature.
She is now passionate about business that supports people’s well being and regenerates nature, especially food product innovation. Lindsey helps clients and partners feel confident in the demand for new, circular strategies and business models, using insight such as motivation based segmentations. Lindsey is creating a similar study for BC, Canada, based on Sitra's Smart Consumption Profiles with Vancouver based One Earth, a think-and-do tank that innovates and amplifies solutions for sustainability.
